Facebook has announced Messenger Bot, which provides the integration of a third-party application with Facebook. In order to be an authorized Facebook user, you are required to sign up for a user name and password.
The Messenger Bot is a service that allows users to chat through the Messenger platform. Now, it allows developers to integrate other applications with the Facebook platform using webhooks. All you need to do is to sign up for a developer account and create a profile page, and all chat requests are made to the Facebook Messenger Bot.
In order to get a Bot license, you will need to fill out a form with a few additional pieces of information like the payment method, and you can register for free on the Facebook Developer Center. After registration, you are able to set up a profile page and link a Facebook Messenger Bot application with your account.
You will also need to determine the application domain in order to authenticate access to the application domain. This will make it easier for Facebook developers to design and manage the API that they will use. Besides, the developer account will provide you the ability to open an API project on the Facebook Developer Center.
If you have a Facebook Developer Account, you can login to the Facebook Developer Center and go to the Application Domains tab. After you have verified your email address, click on the link to get more information about the application domain.
Once you have entered the application domain, you will see the link to set up your application. You will then need to click on the link for Facebooks application development tools. In order to create a new application, you need to click on the link for the Facebook Development Tools that appears on the main page of the Facebook Developer Center.
You will then need to log into your developer account and click on the link for the API. After entering your application details, click on the Set Up Application button. After setting up the API, you will then need to copy the application code and place it into a local or web server.
When you have done that, you can save the code in the application folder of your computer. Then, create a new web application that will match the API type that you have set up in the application settings.
To be able to test the application, you need to add a test request to the API in order to be able to test it on your own. With this test request, you will be able to check the functionalities of the bot. After clicking on the link for the Bot user documentation, you will be able to see the application details.
You can then login to the Bot user documentation to check the bots and the applications in the Bot user panel. Once you have confirmed that everything is functioning well, you are now ready to upload your application. To upload the application, you need to click on the Upload button of the application creation page.
You will then need to enter the application name that you have entered into the application creators box, and the application domain in the application domain box. If the creator does not support another domain for your application, you can use the extension extensions folder to upload the application.
After filling the necessary information, click on the Create button and then you will be able to log in to your profile page. If everything is done properly, you will be able to see the messages in the chat window.
